Who said detoxing had to be torturous?  I am letting you in on a little secret called Vitamin Water. Homemade water infusions made with everyday ingredients found in your refrigerator.

As a child, water infusion was the norm in our home. But, I can remember drinking more veggie infused water to help detoxify our system and I needless to say I didn’t like veggies. But, as an adult I can now appreciate the benefits of drinking water infusions because of the benefits. Who needs juice when you have beautiful water filled with antioxidants packed fresh fruits and vegetables that help detoxify the body.

It’s simple and easy. Use your favorite fruits and veggies to add a little kick to the plain ole water in the refrigerator. I enjoy serving water infusions to guest that stop by for a visit. Hint: Everyone raves about how delicious it taste.

Here are some ingredient details:

Oranges:  Excellent source of vitamin C, fiber, B vitamins and potassium.

Strawberries:  naturally packed with antioxidants.

Basil: contains beta-carotene that converts into vitamin A that helps protect against free radicals.

Berries:  are high in antioxidants and help keep skin looking young.

Cucumber: hydrating and rich in vitamin C, minerals and fiber.

Watermelon: naturally hydrating and contains A and B6  that help maintain a healthy immune system.

Rosemary: rich source of minerals, vitamins and iron.

Pineapples:  rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, and potassium. It is also rich in fiber which helps digestive system and strengthen bones.

Lavender: calming and soothing.

Mint:  eliminates toxins from the body, alleviates stomach pain and soothes digestive system.

Kale:  strengthens the immune system and increases metabolism
