We are excited to announce we've partnered with Feng Shui expert and LEED certified Architect Anjie Cho to give one lucky winner a box filled with goodies below.
The giveaway includes:
I recently moved into our new studio in Dania Beach and discovering Anjie Cho's website, informative blog and book on Feng Shui and Green Designing couldn't have happened at a better time. The book 108 Ways To Feng Shui discuss simple tips on space clearing, de-cluttering, recycling, creating a meditation space and more. Cho, a LEED certified Architect sits down with me to give a little advice on what inspired her love for feng shui, greening design and where to start for beginners.
Tell me what inspired your love for feng shui, spirituality and green design?
I've always loved to create beautiful and meaningful things to help others. After working in architecture for over a decade, I found myself yearning for intention and purpose in my life. This lead me to study feng shui, holistic design and Buddhism. Then I just knew I had to tie it into my work. I've been fortunate to be able to manifest a path in life that resonates with and inspires me as well as others.
For individuals looking to create a more holistic space, what is your advice on where to start?
Everyone deserves to have an environment that uplifts and nourishes them. The first step is to acknowledge that you influence your spaces, and they influence you. An easy way to start is to engage and activate your environment -- by simply telling your physical space THANK YOU, and I LOVE YOU :)
You've also created a small collection of aromatherapy sticks, mists, mandalas and more. Can you tell us more about that?
In my practice, I found myself prescribing holistic objects, such as the aromatherapy or sacred art, as modern and well-designed options for feng shui adjustments. I love that you can layer meaning and intention in every part of your life and home. I also found that it was challenging to find places to purchase these items, so I started my online store at www.holisticspaces.com.
I notice you use gemstones and illustrate their benefits on your blog. For those interested in learning more about gemstones and the energy each one harnesses, can you elaborate on it and how it ties back into creating a holistic space?
Similar to the sacred art and aromatherapy, gemstones harness energy and can create transformations in your life and home. My teachers taught that if your personal energy was strong and vibrant, you didn't need these objects, such as gemstones. But some of us need a little help! I think it's useful to have something shift in your outer environment to resonate with an internal change. And if it's handsome, has positive energy and meaning, why not add that to your space? I think there's so much beauty in this life, and simple things like gemstones, or even flowers can totally shift your space.
